THE ART

We are delighted to present a beautiful collection of exclusive prints from Duncan Beedie's debut picture book 'The Bear Who Stared,' which was nominated for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize in 2017.

Bear is just a mightily curious creature: he doesn’t mean to be rude but he soon learns that staring can get you in a lot of trouble if you’re not careful. Luckily there's a goggly-eyed frog to set Bear straight and teach him a thing or two...

THE ARTIST

Duncan Beedie is a children’s author and illustrator from Bristol. Duncan began his career in children's TV as an animator, before branching into design and animation for websites, games and educational apps. Duncan's debut picture book ‘The Bear Who Stared’ was nominated for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2017.

When not busy drawing kung-fu kicking llamas, heavy metal badgers or starey bears, Duncan can be found walking his dog Ivor around a muddy park or losing heavily to his daughter at videogames...!

THE PRINT AND FRAME

The art is printed on Hahnemaühle German Etching paper (310gsm), a conservation-grade high quality archival paper. This heavyweight etching paper has a fine surface texture and is one of the most popular media worldwide for higher quality artwork printing.

The print is framed by hand in Cambridgeshire in the UK, using only European sourced PEFC™ and FSC approved woods. Frames are Fine Art Trade Guild accredited which means they meet strict conservation standards and are built to last for generations to come.

We use Clarity+ glazing which is a high-quality acrylic glass alternative, offering high UV resistance which doesn't yellow over time, is not easily scratched and is safe for use in children's bedrooms.

Your framed print will arrive with D-rings and cord already attached, ready to hang right out of the box.

DIMENSIONS

Including the frame, with mount, the framed print is 36cm wide and 41cm high.

The print itself is 26cm wide and 31cm high.
